Birdman OST - Doors & Distance
I had some minor disappointments with Birdman, like that I don't think the narrative was as strong as it could be, and I felt that it built this incredible setting and conflict without resolving it with the same strength.
But the film still had a lot of magic to me, due partly to its acoustics. Rarely do I come away thinking, "the music was so warm! Just like in the theater!"
Antonio Sanchez, a Berklee alum, lent his talents to give something sexy and seemingly unrehearsed.
Maybe part of what put me on the edge of my seat throughout the film was that we heard such great rhythms while the characters stood mostly still. When great music is on and no one is dancing, something ain't right.
