Pomplamoose - Puttin' On The Ritz

Pomplamoose, which is Jack Conte and Nataly Dawn, has focused a large part of its discography on covers.

The Pomplamoose touch works best when they're picking up songs that already are in their jazzy wheelhouse, or doing more than just putting a cute voice over hip hop.  Even if they're not trying to, it's very difficult to pull that off while still seeming sincere.

Now, I'd be lying if I said I didn't set a loop on the 32nd second of this track.  All of the drama from Puttin' On The Ritz happens between the beats, so their precision is effective here.  Otherwise, I wouldn't mind hearing them get a bit messier.
