Ergo Phizmiz - The Light Behind You

It's hard to find vaguely psychedlic music produced outside of the 60's or 70's that isn't too campy for me.

Phizmiz dances around that edge pretty well.  His discography is mostly comprised of low-fi collages put to pop structures, but he's found a way to make that charming.

The Light Behind You  makes this album. Peacock is a dreamy and nervous ride where Ergo (if I may call him that) hides his voice behind the strength of his composition.  I'm glad that he's looking us in the eye here.  It's to great effect.
